    Position Description: 

    This position will focus on mortgage backed securities and treasury operations.  Primary responsibilities will follow the operations trade lifecycle inclusive of data flow, security setup, trade confirmation, reconciliation and fails/breaks monitoring.


    • Trade confirmation for all MBS trades – RMBS, CMBS, Pools, TBAs, Repos, Interest Rate Swaps, Swaptions, as well as any other security types traded to support the MBS desk.
    • Security setup and data maintenance, including reconciliation of lifecycle events such as monthly P&I payments.
    • Daily review of prematching and fails of all trades in their respective settlement markets.
    • Reconciliation of positions and activity across all holdings.
    • Maintaining excellent communication between internal and external contacts. This position interacts with executing brokers, prime brokers, treasury, accounting and trading.
    • Respond to ad hoc securities operations and treasury requests.
    • Assist the treasury department with daily margin analysis, the execution of margin calls, and the settling of monthly interest accruals on collateral balances.
    • Ability to problem solve and investigate ad-hoc issues.


    • 4-year degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
    • 0-3 years experience, preferred in a financial services firm.
    • Experience with Microsoft Office products including advanced Excel skills, VBA knowledge preferred.
    • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
    • Outstanding communication skills – written and verbal.
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
