    Position Description:

    This position is responsible for all service transfer related functions pertaining to the purchase, sale and management of mortgage servicing rights “MSR”. This includes ongoing flow from our network of MSR sellers, bulk acquisitions, and the reallocation of assets between our subservicers. Qualified candidates will be highly organized, results oriented, self-starting, possess impeccable communication skills, have a background in mortgage servicing/originations and familiarity with regulatory requirements.

    Responsibilities

    • Maintain Two Harbors Bulk & Flow Service Transfer Instructions
    • Prepare and present transfer status and milestone reporting
      • When applicable complete a post transfer post mortem including lessons learned and potential process improvements
    • Schedule and facilitate meetings with sellers, investors, and subservicers regarding transfer processes
      • Ensure all deliverables are clearly documented
      • Foster and preserve positive relationships
    • Serve as a point of escalation for all Service Transfer related issues
    • People Management
      • Create and maintain a department roadmap which outlines the department’s strategic vision and tactical objectives
      • On-going performance management of Service Transfer staff
      • Maintain a staffing plan, advocate for resources as appropriate
      • Track critical tasks to ensure timely completion
      • Provide communication and training to properly prepare, equip and support individuals to successfully adopt change.
    • Business Controls
      • Maintain Policy & Procedure documentation in accordance with company standards
      • Administer a self-testing plan to measure the teams and individual performance against policies and procedures
      • Proactively establish remediation plans
      • Ensure deliverables for internal and external audits are met
    • Process Design & Implementation
      • Work with internal/external constituents to implement process improvements that improve operational effectiveness, increase scalability, and drive efficiencies
      • Establish business requirements that drive enhancements to applications and reporting
      • Serve as the primary liaison between Service Transfers and IT

    Qualifications

    • 7+ years’ experience in the working in mortgage servicing/originations
      • Specific experience with Servicing Transfers strongly preferred
      • Specific experience with Investor Reporting is a plus
    • Minimum of 2 years leadership experience
    • Undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Finance, or other relevant degree strongly preferred
    • Solid time management skills and the ability to organize, prioritize and perform multiple tasks simultaneously
    • Consistently demonstrate high quality decision making, keen problem solving and analytic skills
    • Must be technology literate and be proficient using the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word, Visio)
      •  Experience using SQL is a plus
    • Working knowledge of mortgage documents
    • Ability to partner with traders, business executives and teams of all stature
    • Knowledge of Fannie Mae / Freddie Mac servicing requirements is strongly preferred
    • Knowledge of conventional MSR purchase transactions and requirements is a plus
    • Travel required 10%
