    Position Description:

    Two Harbors is seeking a Reporting Analyst who will perform a wide variety of duties to support the Seller Engagement and Oversight group.  This role will work with large datasets related to loan level mortgage characteristics, servicing and performance data, and document custodial data. Duties include but are not limited to:  ingesting data feeds through ETL processes, validation of data feeds, development of reports, and automation of critical oversight processes.  This role will be critical to the development of various applications within the firm’s internally developed COSMOS system to support business operations.

     

    Responsibilities

    • Design, develop, implement, and perform data intensive processes in a MS SQL Server environment, including:
      • Partner with functional leads, business analysts, and IT to design, develop, and implement scalable solutions, including the develop prototypes of system solutions to automate current processes and the performance of User Acceptance Testing (UAT) as required.
      • Design, develop, and implement recurring monthly and ad hoc reports to support internal/external stakeholders (i.e., seller scorecards, seller performance metrics, document holdback, and document recovery).
      • Create management reporting and dashboards to support functional business teams, report on Key Performance Indicators, and monitor Service Level Agreements.

    • Act as the subject matter expert and a general resource as it pertains to seller reporting metrics, data, and analysis:
      • Identify favorable/unfavorable trends
      • Investigate the “root cause” analysis for trends and/or anomalies
      • Measure results w/r/t “champion challenger” strategies and
      • Present findings and answer questions as required.
    • Perform quality control checks on data received to ensure data is correct and valid; isolate and cure deficiencies in the data through follow up with internal/external constituents as required. 

    Qualifications

    • Undergraduate degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science, management information systems, business, or other quantitative field of study
    • 5+ years of progressive development/coding experience.
    • Advanced proficiency with SQL Server, SQL Server Management Studio, VBA, Visual Studios, VBScript and database architecture.
    • Intermediate use of VB .Net, C#, R, or other programming language.
    • Ability to design and implement your own ETL processes through SSIS, as well as intermediate understanding of SSRS.
    • Ability to create your own database objects, stored procedures, and automate reporting.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers, peers, and management.
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple time sensitive tasks.
    • Must have strong analytical skills and a knack for creative problem solving.
    • Demonstrates flexibility in responding to changes in assignment and job responsibility in a dynamic environment.
    • 3+ years’ experience in the mortgage industry, working with mortgage data, and analyzing data from origination to servicing is preferred.
