Position Description:

TWO Harbors is seeking a Reporting Analyst who will perform a wide variety of duties to support the Reconciliation, reporting, and analysis group. Efforts will be centered on state regulatory reporting, GSE (FNMA, FHLMC) reporting, and internal reporting. Qualified candidates will be flexible, results oriented, self-starting, possess strong communication skills, have a background in data mapping/analysis, and familiarity with the secondary mortgage market.

Responsibilities

  • Regulatory Reporting
    • Develop an end to end process to facilitate gathering requested information from regulating agencies
    • Query database using SSMS to gather requested data elements
    • Implement data quality reconciliation to confirm reported data is accurate and concise
    • Partner with servicing oversight managers to gather missing information from various mortgage servicers
    • Maintain data repository for storing code, data results, and procedures for gathering requested information, per request
  • Standard Reporting
    • Conduct monthly portfolio reconciliation and exception management
    • Responsible for the timely and accurate monthly reporting for MBFRF, NMLS, and Fidelity Bond
    • Conduct monthly GSE (FNMA/FHLMC) portfolio reconciliation of investor sold loans to servicer data feeds
    • Partner with IT, Trade desk, and servicing oversight to develop centralized portfolio stratification dashboard
  • Ad Hoc Reporting
    • Responsible for tracking, aging, and timely completion of requested ad hoc report
    • Leverage data repository to store all code, data results, and procedures for gathering requested information
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in finance, business administration, computer science, management information systems, or related field of study.
  • Proficiency with SQL Server, SQL Server Management Studio, VBA, Visual Studios, VBScript.
  • Experience in state regulatory reporting a plus.
  • 5+ years’ experience in the mortgage industry, working with mortgage data, and analyzing data from origination to servicing.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers, peers, and management.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple time sensitive tasks.
  • Must have strong analytical skills and a knack for creative problem solving.
  • Experience working with MSP/LPS/Black Knight servicing systems is a plus.
  • Demonstrates flexibility in responding to changes in assignment and job responsibility in a dynamic environment.
